Sophia Fu (PhD, Northwestern University) is an assistant professor at the Department of Communication in the School of Communication and Information of Rutgers University. Her research interests revolve around organizational communication, social networks, information and communication technologies (ICTs), entrepreneurship, innovation, and computational social science. She received a master’s degree in Statistics, a management certificate from the Kellogg School of Management, and PhD in Media, Technology, and Society all from Northwestern University.
Her work has appeared in top peer-reviewed journals in communication, such as Journal of Communication, Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication, Information, Communication, & Society, and The Information Society. She has won awards for her research from the Academy of Management, International Communication Association (2017) and the National Science Foundation.
